Dpreview reviewed Panasonic 20mm/1.7

Dpreview.com reviewed the Panasonic 20mm/1.7 - small, pancake lens with good minimum aperture for Micro Four Thirds cameras. The conclusion was that the lens is an "excellent lens, especially considering its tiny size".

On Olympus EP-1 it does not have automatic chromatic aberations reduction but you get the IS because Olympus m4/3 bodies have IS build in.

It's sharp even at 1.7 which I think is great.

Also the review was recently updated with photos took with Panosonic GF1.

Look how small it is:

You can read the whole review here. The whole name of the lens is "Panasonic Lumix G 20mm F1.7 ASPH".

  1. It’s very interesting lens. The focal lenght should be great for indoor shots – with f1.7 you won’t need flash. Great for museums, family reunions etc. Shame that there is no IS on Panasonic body with this lens.
